Robby and I went to Taylorsville lake Monday. The lake was at summer pool and 84 degress. It was hard fishing. The fish were very scattered and we never did find a pattern. We caught fish but some were on rocks, some on wood and others were on mud banks. One of the first creeks we tried was Candy Creek. We caught a few fish there, but the surprise was there were no shad in the creek. The best creek was Mitchel’s Run. It had allot of small shad. We caught most of our fish on a small crankbait in a shad pattern. Just before we left I decided to try a hump where I always catch some Hybreds, or Whitebass. We never caught a fish, which I believe was the first time that has ever happened. We finished the day with only 25 bass and 3 were over the 15 inch limit. Till the next report hope to see you on the water.
